For its conferences International Academy of Sciences of Higher School usually chooses such regions, where rapid changes are taking place, or regions where it is a high time for such reforms. This time conference was opened in Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad Region). For the first time Russia was chosen as a place for International Forum of Engineering Education. More than 150 representatives from foreign and national universities and accreditation centers in the field of engineering education came to Saint-Petersburg to take part into discussion of efficient work of qualifying systems in engineering education. The main institutor of this Forum became Russian Association for Engineering Education. |

RASA - Russian-Speaking Academic Science Association suggested to organize a meeting on its native ground, but not in Moscow or Saint-Petersburg, they wanted to visit some distant Region. In Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (State University) took place press-conference called “Innovative approaches and informational technologies for the new generation of state standards in the high professional education implementation”. During her Russian trip Verónica Michelle Bachelet Jeria - the President of Chile – visited Russian Academy of Sciences’ Presidium. Together with her there came about 20 members of Chilean delegation, including Chilean Academy of Sciences President, Professor Servet Martínez and some of his scientists -colleagues. Visit was devoted to the recent framework agreement between these two Academies, which are going to cooperate in the field of seismology, oceanology, geology, medicine. |
